Do you think the 'dead internet theory' is already a reality? Why or why not?

On the rare occasion that I check in on Facebook I always see staged pictures of tiny houses but the dimensions are.... Off. Most of the time it doesn't make any sense and you can really tell that they are all AI generated if you look at the picture for longer than an instant.
And there's thousands of comments and likes on these posts and they all say roughly the same thing. It's kind of maddening. I've tried to hide them from my feed but they are always there when I come back.

F.B. Purity might help with some of that.
I only use FB for marketplace and a few groups. Don't even use my real name. It's become such a cesspool.
