@sudorandom Tech has a fairly high barrier to entry that favors both those with privilege and those already in the field. (Go follow @sue for semi-regular content relating to this. Hell, go follow her anyway.)
I think the only way to truly deal with that problem long-term is to make an effort to mitigate both of those things. That means making accessible content and taking opportunities to mentor those looking to break into tech.
@CiscoJunkie @sue I've been at so many companies that refuse to hire junior talent. I'm legitimately not sure how anyone gets the first 3 years of work experience anymore.
